Welcome to the April Advocacy Event and Legislative Visits! Today, we unite our voices to champion quality early learning opportunities for Wisconsin’s children. Whether you’re a parent, educator, community member, or supporter, your presence makes our advocacy stronger.
Throughout the day, you’ll hear powerful stories, join our Capitol rally, and meet directly with legislators to share how Head Start and early childhood programs transform lives. Together, we’re building a future where every child has access to the educational foundation they deserve. Thank you for being part of this important day!

The Wisconsin Head Start Association (WHSA) is a network of 39 grantees providing Head Start and Early Head Start services throughout Wisconsin for the past 50 years. The organization serves all 72 Wisconsin counties, interacts with 424 school districts, and provides comprehensive services to over 16,000 of Wisconsin's youngest and most vulnerable children. WHSA supports its member organizations through training events, leadership development, representation on statewide projects, management of State Supplemental Head Start Grants, and advocacy work. The association focuses on both early childhood education and comprehensive family services, emphasizing parent involvement as a key component of their dual-generation approach to helping children living in poverty.
